Last Thursday (February 25th)… it’s been 29 years since I lost my Dad to suicide. I was 17 years old. It’s impossible for me to ignore this date and I wanted to write something but I was at a loss for words. The song ‘Sometimes You Can’t make It On Your Own’ by U2 has always carried great meaning for me and Bono takes the words right out of my mouth.

“I wish I’d known him better” – Bono

I will always Love You Dad.

  1. You are always in my thoughts and I share everything you do for others with others.
My prayers are with you at this time.
You have done so much for all of us and the work you do is going a long way to help thousands of others.
You helped me so much when I lost my Josh and found your site. Even if you did not realize it you were a “life line”

    Hugs

    Pat

Hey Scott, I’ll never forget that day either!! Three of our teammates were whisked away and we never knew why till we got home…….what a devastating day!!! Though I will never understand suicide I always wonder how very sad a person must be ……. So sorry my twin had to be without his DAD for so long………
